Application Process
Seven Friends Foundation are temporarily pausing our grant making to review our guidance and carry out urgent work to improve our systems. We are likely to restart grant making in the new year.
In the meantime, we politely ask that you do not send applications during this time as they will not be reviewed.
If you sent an application ahead of the August 1st deadline, this will be reviewed in late October with successful applicants notified by email in November.
To apply for a grant, please provide your annual accounts (if not available on the Charity Commission website), a copy of your safeguarding policy (if your organisation works with children or vulnerable adults) and a 1-2 page application document outlining the following:
- If you are a charity, your charity number and registered charity name.
- If you are not a charity, the reasons for this and an explanation of how you ensure good governance within your organisation.
- Your registered address.
- The amount of funding you are applying for.
- Contact details to follow up on your application.
- Bank details by which to provide the grant if you are successful.
- Details of the work you are applying to fund, including:
- An overview of your organisation and its aims
- An overview of the project or work you are looking to help fund
- If you are applying for project funding, a project budget or indicative breakdown of costs
- The outcomes or impact our funding would support you achieving
- The number of people who work within your organisation, and the number of people directly supported by the project or work you are looking to help fund
Please send your application and supporting documents to secretary@sevenfriends.org. Applications received by post will not be considered.
There will be an initial screening of applications to ensure they meet our aims and criteria followed by a review of applications before grants are awarded.
We may contact you for further information at either stage of the process.
For information about how we will manage any personal data received as part of the application process, please view our privacy policy.
